NEVER TOO OLD FOR PAPER DOLLS

I'm always pondering my next project, sometimes I have an idea in mind, other times inspiration comes from unexpected places.  Going through some fabric scraps the other day I had an inspiration "a grown up paper doll".

I pulled out this small scrap of fabric, ironed interfacing to the backside to give it a little weight and proceeded to cut out some "paper dolls"
Once I had her cut out I played around with some crystals and rhinestones pondering what I would do with her and thought she would make a great piece of artwork.
I then painted a canvas,  decoupaged my "doll" to it, gluing down the crystals and rhinestones.
I  let it sit untouched for several hours until the decoupage was completely dry and knew I wanted to take it one step further, so I mixed up some resin and covered the entire canvas with it.

It will now sit overnight to allow the resin to set up.

When dry, the canvas, crystals and fabric will all be under a hard shiny coat of resin and ready for me to share the completed project.
